(Please excuse the rather loud audiobook playing in the video's background...!)
This late Victorian/Edwardian locket is beautifully made, with a hinged scrolled top section attached to a square locket with red paste to the front in a starburst setting, and pretty floral engraving to the rear. Finished off with a twisted bar detail to each side. Opens to reveal a spacious locket compartment, with no frames, large enough to take a note or other memento.
It's gold filled but looks like solid gold, hardly any wear at all.
MEASUREMENTS: Square approx 19mm across, total drop from top loop to bottom 35mm. Weight 9g (to the nearest gram, our milligram scales are not working today!).
