We only buy pins if they are very special, and this one was irresistible!

Dripping with Victorian sentimental symbolism, it depicts a winged cherub riding in a little carriage pulled by a faithful spaniel. In the carriage behind the cherub is a beautifully enamelled blue forget-me-not flower - the dog's eye is also highlighted in blue. Incredibly unusual, probably one-of-a-kind!

Tests as solid silver of around sterling grade. One nice touch is the pin's fastener, which is of the secure type that can be rotated to hold the pin's end in place securely rather than the typically less secure bit of curved wire usually present in Victorian pins, this is likely a historical upgrade from someone who loved this little piece and didn't want it to fall off in wear!

MEASUREMENTS: 1 7/16" side to side. 3.2g in weight.

CONDITION: Lovely, wearable antique condition with only very minor, superficial surface wear. Please view all close-up photos. Any display chains/boxes are shown for photography purposes only.
