Round and shiny like a cheerful little sun, this Victorian 9K gold (tested) locket pendant c1870 looks so vibrant in wear! Somewhat Etruscan-style wirework detailing around the scalloped edges and a central applied quatrefoil detail with each leaf set with a small red coral cabochon, around a central pearl. Adorably tiny engraved shapes between each applied leaf.
To the rear is a lovely round locket compartment with original securely fitted photo frame (can be opened and closed by hand) with a slightly domed perspex replacement glass.
The chain shown is also available separately in this week's update, but is being modelled at a shorter length in these photos to better display the pendant.
MEASUREMENTS: Just a touch over 1" diameter. 4.4g in weight.
