This stunning, early pendant features some of the most beautiful foiled stones we have seen, with endless vibrancy and complexity of colour!

This is a late Georgian transitional piece c1830, with deep dished backs, and gently crimped settings around flat-cut and slightly bevelled stones. The substantial, solid gold tests as high carat, 15 - 18K, and the bail loop to the top is thick and chunky!

The beautiful stones appear to be pink-foiled, pale natural amethysts, with the one on the right slightly more purple than the other two. Each stone is surrounded by a halo of beautiful lustrous seed pearls, with matching, gently crimped settings.
 
The shades trapped within the pendant range from light, peachy pink to hot pink, light purple to deeply saturated purple - one could stare into it all day! It's rare to find good, juicy foiled stones of such a generous size.

The overall effect is somewhat mysterious and magical, very unusual, and bursting with colour.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 1 1/8" north to south, or 1 3/8" including the top loop. 8.9g in weight. Please check modelled photos and measures for true scale as close-up photography can exaggerate the size of jewellery items - this is a good-sized pendant but not an enormous one!

CONDITION: Very good, wearable antique condition with only superficial surface wear commensurate with its great age - please view all close-up detail photos. Variation to stone hue as noted, part of the beauty of the piece, with very little fading to the foil on inspection with a loupe. Any display boxes/chains shown are for photography purposes only.
