A very attractive Victorian snake chain necklace c1890 in 9K English rose gold (marked & tested), in a nice collar length of 15.5" and good weight of 14.7g.
Everyone wants this style, and they're getting so hard to find - particularly ones with a decent thickness!
It is composed of one longer length with thickness of approx 3mm, then a shorter length attached by an original faceted ring, which is slightly thinner at approx 2.5mm thick. On this length is attached a nice generous split ring of 10mm diameter, and at the other end is a lovely chunky dog clip clasp attached by another faceted ring.
The links are extremely smooth, sinuous and snake-like.
Such a great jaunty look in wear, ideal for attaching charms or a pendant to the split ring/dog clip or suspended on the chain itself, if you prefer.
This is in great antique condition and very wearable, please view all close-up photos (pendant shown in last photo is also currently available).
