An impressive antique English rose-cut diamond solitaire ring, with rubbed hallmarks for London 1809 (see picture). The band is 18K gold with lovely deep floral chasing, accented in the middle with a good-sized rose-cut foil back diamond in raised silver collet setting. Spreading to approx 4.5mm diameter and extremely sparkly and bright to the eye with good fire, this is a diamond that you notice!

The substantial band is chased all around apart from a little section at the rear, meaning it could potentially be resized without disrupting the pattern.

The effect of the diamond in wear is quite spectacular, and it's such a comfortable ring to wear!

MEASUREMENTS: Size UK M 1/2 on the mandrel (approx 6 1/4 US). 4.6g in weight.

CONDITION: Super condition for its great age of over 200 years, with antique patination to the gold in the grooves of the chasing, could be polished up somewhat if desired. The diamond is extremely secure in its setting. The assay mark is rubbed but we are pretty certain the city mark must be London based on its outline and the orientation of the marks.
