A lovely early 1800s French lyre pendant, with small French mark to the loop, tested as solid silver with a rose gold wash to the back and subtle accents on the base, fret and bail loop.

To the centre is one larger rose cut diamond, and each little segment of the lyre is accented with a tiny diamond chip.

An ancient instrument used extensively in ancient Greece, where poetry recitations would be accompanied by strumming on the lyre, it is an emblem for poets, singers and artists.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 1" lyre height from the top of the arms to the bottom. 2.6g in weight.
