This antique French necklace c1880 has such beautiful, feminine details, and can instantly dress up up a blouse or sweater. It layers perfectly with other necklaces too!

Marked with the French 18K eagle's head control stamp and tested to confirm, it is mostly a mellow rosy shade with yellow/green leaves to the scrolled urn-shaped tassel drop, and further contrasting swirling on the original matching slider above the pendant. This can be moved freely up and down the fine herringbone chain, though it will come to rest at the bottom in wear.

It fastens at the top with a very chunky original 18K marked dog clip - quite a bonus as these are difficult to find and fetch good prices sold on their own!

The relative fineness of the chain means this is a piece for careful wear.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain length approx 23 1/4" including the dog clip, not including the pendant drop which measures. 9.3g in weight.

CONDITION: Good wearable antique condition, with numerous small kinks to the chain, especially the little tassels on the pendant. They look like they are supposed to be playfully curly but I think this is a result of wear. I can see one tiny, well-executed repair/reinforcement to the main chain. The patterned back of the pendant drop has a some shallow denting, not visible from the front. Dog clip in perfect working order.
