This fun, cheerful pendant is a wonderful example of late Victorian novelty insect jewellery! The insect appears to be either a type of fly or one of those narrow-winged moths, with wonderful long feathery antennae which sweep back towards its body. The elegant wings are set with sparkly white 'diamond' paste, and the body is formed from natural red coral. Little glowing pink eyes complete the package!

The body setting is formed from solid silver (tested) with some gilding to the legs. Due to the gilding and warm tone of the coral it with mesh with either a silver or gold chain.

MEASUREMENTS: 1 1/8" long from front to back feet. 6.7g in weight.

CONDITION: Very good, wearable antique condition - please see all close-up photos. The coral has a few minor surface abrasions. Any display boxes/chains are shown for photography purposes only.
