The detail on this very early Victorian locket c1840 - 1850 is just superb! The goldwork to the front is made up of two sculpted ribbons of gold deeply chased with floral patterns, which are interwoven to create a symbolic infinity knot. This is surrounded by eight big, BRIGHT! blue graduated turquoise cabochons in beautiful condition with excellent colour-matching, and between them are six tiny glinting rose-cut diamonds in crimped settings.

This is a very unusual and beautiful design with so much detail!

To the rear is a hinged locket compartment with the most finely and sweetly engraved border to the gold locket window, which can be easily opened by hand and shuts very securely.

Tests as solid 15K gold.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 7/8" top to bottom not including the top bail. 5.7g in weight.

CONDITION: Very good, wearable antique condition with beautifully preserved turquoises. A couple of them have some faint, natural darker veining. Please view all close-up photos. Any display chains/boxes are shown for photography purposes only. The beautiful chain shown in the modelled photos is currently available separately in the shop.
